This site deals with General Engine overview.  Subsets will address the top, bottom, front, and rear portions of this teardown.  That will make future reference for finding specific tasks much easier.

Connecting rods, Rod Caps, and Pistons are all directional.  If any are backwards there will be big trouble.  Notice that the Main Journal Caps have arrows pointing toward the front.  I use a stamp set to ID them, 1-4.  Number five is obvious and will only install one way.  I also stamp each Connecting rod & Cap so I know which way it faces before pressing piston wrist pins into new pistons.
These pictures look redundant, but they are for my reference.
