Zero'ing...
The paint is coming off but I've used this since the 60's and it always works.
#2
Ford purchased these rollers. I'm sure they are used in a host
of other cars.
#3
Most of the parts are rusty, which tells me 'carbon steel'.
#4
I have separated the spring loaded washer. The track rides
across the middle.
#5
#6
You can see how the spring is situated.
#7
Simply remove the spring and lift the roller off the peg.
#8
Once the spring is off, the rest kinda falls apart.
#9
This roller is wet with WD-40.
#10
Once the 'hair pin' is pulled out, the rest falls in your hand.
#11
I measured these parts 'as is'. Later, I wire brushed and remeasured them.
#12
#13
#14
I'm measuring the washer's overall thickness.

#16
#17
This pin is nasty.
#18
To get an accurate reading, the pin must be rust free.

After reassembling all the pieces onto the roller, simply push it over the stud.
