Hi Mike! Yup, there was a '60 in one of those pix. I asked Lex about that. Turns out the people he bought it from had a '59 and a '60 and they sold him the '59 and kept the '60.

Thumbs up

Not bad at all. That reminds me of the T-Bird I was searching for back in the early '90s. A black '59 with black & white interior. I searched & searched, then settled on my 430cid 1-owner '60 Bird.

Looks like 2 of the rear tail lamp lens need to be turned over (they are upside down).

Surprisingly good fit of the trunk in the corners. Most cars I have seen, incl. mine, have a dive in the corner of the trunk. This looks realy good with a even surface between the trunk and the bezel.

I received an email from Lex this morning with good news. Here is what he had to say.

"Had a big day yesterday. Took the Tbird over the licensing pits & she passed with flying colours. I have a full road license now so I can drive her whenever I like.......YAY!!!!

I took the car home today which created a lot of interest in the village where I live. Got plenty of "thumbs up" & toots on the freeway too. Susan LOVES the car & has already driven it through every street in the village.
Ahhhhh.......it's great to own a Thunderbird."

They are thinking of starting a Tbird club in Perth! I say Go For It!

After Greg said something about '60 in garage I took closer look. Low and behold Lex has two Squarebirds! I wish my wife would let me get Christine a sister! Pink convertible?
