What year proved to be the best year for T. Birds?. eg., Baby, Square, Bullet, or Flair Bird. For handling & looks. The '55, '56, or '57. The '58, '59, or '60. The '61, '62, or '63. The '64, '65, or '66.

If I had the room & my Wife's blessing, I would go for the '57 but with the Continental kit. The '60 Convertible, The '62 Roadster, &
the '66 Convertible. What's your choice?

It would be the1960, because its the same year as my lovely Bride and one of the reasons I got started, and now a Square,!

For me it would have to be a '73 going by your rationale...! he-he..

In the meantime I'll stick with our '66 Town Landau.

Chris it would be the 58 ( might be a little bias as my wife has one ) as it started the full size TBirds. Not too mention Car of the Year in 1958..

It would be interesting to know if any members had owned all four model types so as to compare.Which is probably what Fomoco executives would have loved enthusiasts to do.

I have owned the following T-Birds in my lifetime:

1956 hardtop only
1957 hardtop only
1959 convertible
1960 hardtop with a standard 3 speed transmission.
1961 convertible
1961 hardtop
1965 hardtop
1966 convertible
1971 four door

My preference, just based on style - 1961-1963 convertible (but I'll take a nice hardtop).
