Default 1966 390 Thunderbird Tune up info

My 66 Thunderbird is having tune issues, does anyone have tuning information? I tried looking for the 66 Manual but I can't seem to even buy one at the moment.

Dan, hopefully, someone will be able to give you help on tuning. All the US Tbird parts houses have the Service/Shop Manuals. The Bird Nest certainly has one for the 1966 Tbird for sure, and I think every one of the major Tbird parts houses listed in the Advertisements Forum do also. Email them or order one off their web sites.

I don't have the tune-up specs for '66 but here are the specs for '64. They are pretty much the same. I apologize for the smudges. It's been well used.

Thanks, John, for posting that! I have saved that, and will see if I can clean it up some and put it into the TRL with the note that it pretty well applies to all three years.

Okay, John, I will let you know. Thanks! It is going to take some work to get the yellowness out of them, and clean them up. It will be nice to be able to add them to the TRL for future use. John, I saw your comment about the 428. Thank you.

Ray,

Those specs only pertain to the '64-'66 390's. The '66 428 is most likely slightly different.

What 'yellowness'?

Okay, they're not perfect, but I only spent about 5 minutes on them. It didn't seem worth spending more unless we get the high res copies. I'd be happy to help clean the high res versions up, if you want to send them over. Let me know.

64-66 T-Birds are notorious for vacuum leaks. One common spot for a leak is the neutral switch and the hose that goes from there to the emergency brake pedal.
