Hi Guys
Seeing as it's the season for giving and all thought I'd treat myself to a little something.........A 1956 Continental Mark II
Now some may say a little excessive but hell why not and I've been looking for one for a while

I think it's amazing that you can find rare U.S. cars like that in Australia.

I dont think I've ever seen one of these; not even in photos.

It looks like it just needs a tank of gas; no further work necessary?

I have been helping Richard track down a Continental Mark II for a bit. I found there are a good number of these cars available still, though they are not cheap. Ford created a separate car company to produce the Continental Mark II. It was not part of the Lincoln family at that time. It was only manufactured for two years. 1956-1957. The problem was that only a few could afford them so Ford stopped production of them. If you want to find some more to look at just google Continental Mark II For Sale. Here is a link to the history of the car. http://www.conceptcarz.com/vehicle/z...l-Mark-II.aspx

2,996 cars were built, mostly in 1956. About 1,500 are still around, with about only half of those road worthy.

Richard finally found his car in California! It is a beauty and one that has stood the test of time well. It is my understanding that it is totally road worthy and ready to be driven.

Because they are in Australia!

You should only know how many old American cars there are in Sweden. They still bring in loads of them every week, year after year. Carl ( partsetal ) have been here, and I understand he was quite suppriced.

Regarding that 1956 Continental Mark II, itīs in my opinion one of the most beutiful cars ever produced. Stunning! Congrats!!
I saw one at Boyd Coddingtonīs before he passed away a few years ago.

Just for fun, as it happend to be a ī56. What building day do the Vin say?
