'64 Tbird, swing-away steering column removal

I need to remove the steering column in my '64, and I was wondering if anyone on here has some tips to make the process a bit easier. The steering keeps on wanting to swing-away while im driving down the road , so I gotta replace some bushings to tighten her up. Also, a bearing went bad in the column which is causing some minor problems, such as no steering at all.

I've never tackled one of these columns before, so any tips would be greatly appreciated!
