Anders, I see you are a designer for Volvo. I'm sure you have seen your share of Volvo projects. Here is one that my younger brother is working on. 1957 with tbird front frame clip grafted on. He was going to put the turbo 4 in it but changed his mind and built a 5.0L. Rear end from a ford ranger. He had to widen the fenders to cover the tires. It looks a little rough in these video but all of the mechanics are done, it drives real nice and he is working on the body right now. It's come a long way sence these were taken.

The Tbird in the video's... he didnt have time for because of the Volvo project so I bought it from him.

    Turn your speakers on.

My buddy got some wowy crome for his project. New mirrors and aircleaner.

Quick burnout by my buddy and his '57 VolvoFord project. He has added about 4 inches between the body and the fenders giving it a cool Coupe look

I love that "PV"! That´s what they was called here.
I was brougt up in those. My father have have quite a few until the Amazon ( 122 ) came. We lived across the steet from the factory when I was young. In the ´70s, they moved the factory and it growed like 50 times or so. Today, Volvo Trucks is still located at the old plant.

Yup. On the left, two front seat foams from Larrys, to the right, backseat foam from Jed Zimmerman.

My dad had several PVs and 122s. He had a PV station wagon (444 I think) that my older brother wrecked the front end. Dad took the front fenders and hood off, put 32 ford grill and headlights on, cut the top off, put ballon tires on and that became our beach buggy.

I used to drive one of his 544 around the field when I was 12. Fun stuff.

I see you are taking Volvo's legendary "Safety First" motto to heart even at the garage warming....booze on the little table and a first aid box above it. Very very considerate to provide the cure as well!

Hope it went well, sorry I couldnt be there.

What I did over the weekend...

Occasionally I'll end up somewhere and a local band will be playing. Someone remembers "back in the day" and will try to convince me to come play a little. I rarely will do it, as I gave it all up in '86 when my family was growing. Last Saturday, I had just enough beer in me to pick up a bass. A guy sent me some pics yesterday. I've included one from July 4, 1976 .."in the days" and a couple from Sat. Had a blast playing some old Hendrix tunes. All four of us are/were from different bands. Feeling a little nostalgic.

Hi Mike! That had to be a real treat for you to find out that you still have it! It was probably a very enjoyable experience! It looks like you were enjoying yourself. I noted the change in hair style too!

Hah! I don't still "have it". They were easy tunes. I realize that post wasn't Squarebird related, but hey, I was wearing a Ford shirt, drove a TBird to the party and there's even our drummer's 10 yr (then) Mustang in the background of old pic.
