    My 61 Resto Mod

I bought this bulletbird about a month ago hoping to do a restoration on it. Solid body with very little rust. But the engine is not original to the car, and the interior does not match the data plate. The trim code is 84(beige leather). I've already removed the seats, they are blue vinyl.

As I'm not working with OE here, a resto mod is in order. The car will retain her classic look, but the engine will be exchanged for something more modern. A 5.0L Ti-VCT engine out of a F-150 will be shoehorned into the car.

    Wish me luck.

    Welcome to Squarebirds!

I, for one, can't wait to see how you get on with this project. Please remember to post pics, pics, and more pics, as you progress. Good luck!

Yeah Ford Blue didn't come into the engine bay until 1965. Good luck on the resto-mod. I'm near the end of my project, which does have the original engine and transmission, but I'm doing resto-mod as well. The way I see it, if you're restoring an old house, are you going to put in 1950's plumbing and electrical?
