This year I was invited to attend the 40th Anniversary of the Power Big Meet held in Lidkoping Sweden. This event is strictly for American cars and has to be the world's largest. Held 6,7,& 8 July there were reports of almost 9,000 cars on the 7th and of 20,000 over the 3 day event, many repeats. The most popular cars were the big GM's of the 50's and 60's, MOPAR would be second most popular and Ford third. I was able to capture some of the Squarebirds in attendance. While in Sweden I spoke with Anders who could not attend as he had a daughters' wedding coming up and was building an outdoor kitchen for the garden ceremony, I did spend a little time with Vikingde whom I had been in contact with over the years. I've also added a photo provided by the Swedish Air Force as a favor to show the size of the event. The runway is 1.25 miles long and you can see cars on one side, flea market on the other. There was also a camping area at the end. Each evening there was cruising thru the streets of the city with many driving and many watching, a real afterparty.
