Add A 3rd Sway Bar 2 UR Squarebird?

Mike ~ Wyldie (thanks, Mike!) sent me this information from a Facebook Tbird Club member, who happens to also be a member of this Forum! Gary Carpenter ~ 47flattie, though he has not been active on the Forum since 2016. I have never heard of a 3rd Sway bar being available. Finding a '57-'62 Full Sized Ford or '58 Edsel station wagon parts car might be difficult to do these days. I know about the heavy duty sway bars, the Squarebird fan shrouds, and 6 bladed 17" fan that Lance of Tbirds Southwest has been marketing for years. They make a big improvement. But here is another idea, and I do not think Gary posted this on our Forum. If so, I have not found it yet. Here is what he posted on that Facebook Forum. If you left click on the image, it should make it bigger and easier to read. At least it did for me.

Now I will tell you why you may not want to do this.. Here is what I was just told about this.

Thanks for the information. From what I see, it is the old 3/4" bar that was used (and laid in the "a-arm" channel) and was all that they had at the time. We DO NOT recommend having two
    (2) bars on the suspension. Let's say that you are using two each 3/4" bars. The total resistance is now relating to a 1-1/2" bar. Prior to manufacturing our bars (30 years ago), we had our manufacturer run the resistance and wear factors and how they related to the ball joints and "A" frame bushings thru their computers so as not to stress or have advanced wear on these front end components. The maximum size bar for the standard Ford & Thunderbirds is 1-1/8"!
About 12 years ago one of the major Thunderbird suppliers offered a 1-1/2" front bar. The results were very negative as resulted in damaged suspension components and thru considerable complaints, these were removed from the market!
