      Thanks fellas

Thanks for the warm welcome. I have actually had my 65 landau since it was first imported into the UK in 2007. Ten years of ownership has been eventful and still causing me a few issues.

I have done a lot to overhaul the mechanicals of the car and some bodywork, but not had the space to undertake a full. 'bare-bones' restoration. (I currently have a Christine plymouth in long term build, which takes up all my garage space).

The 'bird' was a long term ambition since I first saw one in 1966 in Streetly in the Midlands, UK. It was owned by an actress called Dorothy Squires. her husband at the time was a young Roger Moore, who was starring in The Saint at the time. I would often see "The Saint" driving a yellow Thunderbird with venetian micro blinds in the back window, where his wife sat. And yes, his 'other' car WAS a Saint's Volvo complete with the logo on the bonnet. Ever since then I wanted that car. Forty years later I finally got one. Except mine needed loads of work.

I hope to post for advice in the tech forums and hope you guys can help out. Cheers.
