I wasn't born in the 50's but mentally, I've always preferred it there.
This kind of thing is what made life rich and interesting.

For the sake of saving $$ and avoiding litigation, the country has retreated into a shell of its former self and we no longer have the forward-thinking mindset this sort of thing represents.
