Ain't THAT the truth...
Last summer, my neighbor wanted to remove his clothesline poles. You know, big pipes welded to look like a tee. Of course, they were cemented into the ground fifty years ago.
He cut the first one off with a saw (leaving a steel 'stump' of pipe). For the second tee, I brought over my cherry picker and chained it up. I started pumping, and the six steel wheels sank into the ground. A crowd of neighbors gathered 'round. Further pumping made the ground swell. More beer and a lot of speculation was buzzing. Soon, the picker was winning. We could all start breathing again as concrete around the pipe-tee started to exhume. That sucker was four feet down with a load of concrete around it but the 3-ton picker conquered it with no apology.Member, Sons of the American Revolution
