Solenoid & Relay for the deck lid 59 convertible
H Gene, I would think that many of our Tbird parts houses would have them. Look in the Advertisements Forums for all the listings of our major parts houses. Also, you could put an ad in the Parts Wanted Forum, because there are Squaebird parts cars owners out there on this Forum who might have what you are looking for. Also send a Private Message to Carl Heller ~ partsetal on here. Carl has nothing but Squarebirds parts and a bunch of them. BTW, I delete your accidental duplicate post for you.

Those parts are not available new so you will have to look for used ones. Carl Heller is a good place to start. You can also try Pat Wilson Thunderbirds, The Bird Nest or Thunderbird Connection.

Do you not have them or are yours not functioning. From my experience they are pretty rigid. When I found mine they were ceased up but I was able to loosen them up and they are still in use 12 years later.
If not I found these on eBay. Pricey

They're just the latches, not the solenoids.

Can those latches be made to operate
manually? Cable operated like the hood?
I know it would take some fab work, (making
cables etc)Comment

Yes, but you also need the latch parts that go inside the trunk. For all that expense why don't you just buy new cylinders for the trunk and be done with it. They are a lot less money than what you are going to spend for all the '59 parts. Plus all the time involved to try and make it work. My suggestion is to do it right.
