    Help in the middle of engine swap

    I am trying to put a 428 from a 1966 in to my 1964 that had a 390 which fly wheel do i use and i assume i would use the starter that matches it??

    Use the starter and flywheel from the 428. The flywheel for a 428 is counter weighted.

          Dan,

          I don't know, I was only commenting on the idea of the 428 coming out of a 66 thunderbird from somewhere. Hate to see that happening , but of course it may have come out of a complete loss situation.

            Are you sure it was Flairbird that died to provide the 428?
            A myriad of Fords were fitted with 428 motors in the mid 60's.
            A Thunderbirder from the Land of the Long White Cloud.
