Bob, all I can say is outstanding and your 16 year old son ( and yourself ) should be very proud. You have out a lot of work and tender loving care in restoring this classic to it's pristinr condition. That's what we are hope for on these cars. If you are so inclined, a nice retro 50's driver's mirror, would really pull the chrome out on the front of your 59. I have a 58HT and didn'r realize the impact, not only on safety ( instead of shoulder checking ) but the classy style it brings.

Justr stunning, Great job. You guys should be very proud. My son is 6 and I just hope when he is 16, that he takes as much pride and patience in a project like that.

That's very cool. My son's first car was a '61 Falcon that I saved in the barn for years, just in case he was interested. He refurbished it and followed me to local shows. Was a blast.. He moved on to Mustangs, then drag racing them. Now he's finally calmed down and drives a real nice '68 Tempest. His blood runs blue tho... searching for another Ford!

That's really a nice color and looks to be a quality restoration.

Congrats on the car, but MORE congrats on having a kid who "gets it". My daughter is 17 and I don't think any of her classmates even know which end of a screwdriver to use. It's pretty sad really...When I was growing up, all my buddies were gear-heads. This "disposable society" has taken away all desire for our youngsters to learn how things work or how they are assembled...they just buy something new when whatever it is breaks.
Great job on the car AND the kid!

Thanks for all the kind words! I'll look up the paint codes, it was a lot of work but worth it. My son loves it and drives it with kit gloves. He has the oldest car at his high school so they are going to put it in the year book. We still need to redo the suspension, power steering, heater, ac, etc.. But it's coming along. Below are before and after on the interior.
