    Gas Pedal Location - lost

    59 Convertible

The PO replaced a section of floor and failed to mark the location of the pedal bolts. Is there a map or any measurements from a fixed point(s) that I can use to locate the pedal?

    Thanks

    Chris:
I don't have any dimensions, but I did find some pictures of the gas pedal bolted in. These may be enough to get you close to the original mounting. It looks like there were nuts welded to the floor pan where machine bolts were used to secure the pedal.

Thank you for the response. I may try attaching the linkage rod and see what kind of action I get by letting the pedal just sit on the floor.

It doesn't have to be exact. However, if you buy a new carpet set it usually has the slot cut where it slips over the pedal so you want it close.
