    Road draft tube bracket

    1959 convertible.

The road draft tube (no bracket) was in the trunk when I got the car. Where it goes on the manifold is obvious. However I assume there should be a bracket to hold it. I can't find it in the illustrations manual or on the site so far. Can anyone show me a picture of the bracket. Is it separate or welded to the tube? Where does it bolt to? I find no trace on this tube of any weld point.

    Thanks.....

There is a bracket that is welded to the tube and goes to one of the bell housing bolts.

Thanks as usual John. Interestingly my tube does not go to a sleeve - it has a 90 degree bend and runs straight into the manifold. Making a bracket for this should be easy....

That picture is not totally accurate. Yours sounds like the correct one. If you don't have a welder some epoxy works just fine.
