Very interesting Ray. I remember as a Kid around 17 year old using Rubbing alcohol ( Methylated Spirits) too clean the Engine. If I did it any good or bad I can't remember.

He's using 91% alcohol in that flathead. That means, 9% of the volume is water that won't burn. The second time around, add another 9% water, and another... Soon, the whole cylinder is covered with water.
There's no hydro-lock because he adds 91% alcohol every charge, which allows enough room to expel some water every time the exhaust stroke happens.
Also, water contains oxygen. I'd like to see him add pure oxygen (from his torch) to his fuel. It doesn't matter what fuel he's burning, oxygen doubles the heat.
