Hey everyone, I have a 1966 with an original AC compressor, just got it operating, when the motor is cold and I turn the air on the compressor clicks on and off till the motor is at operating temperature then it works fine, stays on does not click on and off. The air is nice and cold, outside temp. 85 inside air temp 50, Is this normal? The car is fairly new to me so I don't know much about it.
Also, I want to change out the brush set on the compressor, do I have to remove the pulley to do that? I noticed that the clearance to get the bolts out is very small. Thanks!
I also noticed when the car sits for about 15 minutes and restarted the compressor clicks on and off till fully warmed again then it stops clicking on and off, I figure its probably the brushes needs replacing.
