Contrary to some of the views here, I purchased my '60 off ebay in 2010 from a seller in NJ, and had no problems at all with the transaction. Buyer beware for sure, but ebay can be a good resource for lots of things.

I agree, eBay certainly has changed how I buy things, but it's situations like this when clearly the car is not as advertised, and even after advising them as such they continue without a notice to potential buyers it's a red flag. Mind you, negative feedback is the kiss of death. I've only (knock on wood) been burned once where I haven't gotten a refund but a car is a major purchase to most of us and there is no way I'd plunk down a load of cash without having actually researched and inspected it myself or by someone I trust. It's not so much eBay as it is the used car salesman auctioning the car.

I ran this information regarding this Tbird through Rod Wake, VTCI Prexy because pix I saw of this car on other sites showed it had a VTCI sticker on the windshield. He had not heard of it, and said that only if they knew the name of the seller could they check to see when he was a VTCI member...
