    transmission rebuild

I am hoping someone out there can help me. I live in Ohio and we had our 62 cruise o Matic rebuilt but something went wrong and it doesn't work and the man we had to do the work had a heart attack and can no longer repair it. I am looking for some recommendation as to where we can take it and have it rebuilt or even buy a rebuilt transmission. It was working fine when we took it out but not so after the rebuild. Thank you Jack and Chris

    transmission rebuild

Hi Jack & Chris. I am sorry to hear what happened to the tranny and the person who rebuilt it. I do not know of anyone off the top of my head in your State who specializes in rebuilding COM trannys. However, I DO know of someone who probably has a working one in his stock, considering that it is said that he has some 300 Tbirds at his place. That would be Bob Jursinski, in Vermilion, Ohio. Phone - 440-967-7306. He may also know of a trustworthy company who rebuilds these old trannys of ours.. Give him a call tomorrow and see what he has to say.... I see it is about a 4 1/2 hour drive between ya'll. That is like me driving from San Antonio, east to Houston...
