A couple in my local Tbird Club are considering buying this 1965 Flairbird and are trying to find out more information regarding it, by contacting previous owners. I have checked the Tbird Registry and no one has ever registered it. Alan Tast of the VTCI has his own Tbird database and I have asked him also. Does anyone on here own a Flairbird with this VIN #, or have in the past? If you have, please send me some personal information regarding it, that I can pass on to them. They would just like to learn a bit more about it, other than what the Data Plate tells them. If you know of anyone else who has a Tbird registry that I can contact, please let me know also. Thanks!

Like looking for a needle in a haystack Ray . From the VIN we do know it is a '65 convertible . Have them make sure the data plate VIN matches the other two VIN's under the hood . Doors sometimes get changed without changing the data plate with it .

I do keep some VIN's here but mostly northern cars . The closest I can get is 5Y87Z145518

A Question Regarding 5Y85Z145771..

Having spoken with my friends who are considering this Tbird, they know that the VIN# matches what the Shipping Document states as the VIN #, and one other piece of information that comes with the car, matches the VIN# on the Data Plate. Now, we know that when this Tbird left the factory, it was shipped to District #71, which is the LA area. So this was first of all, a California car. So perhaps someone in that State might know who the previous owner(s) were. Then, at some time in its history, it was bought by someone in the Ontario, Canada area, because at the present time, it has Ontario plates on it. Does anyone in the Ontario area know anything about this Tbird? All the prospective buyers want to do is to learn a little more about the history of the car, before they make a final decision. I now know more about this Tbird, its location, and status. What we would like to know now is the history of it while it was in California from 1965-1988. Does anyone in California know how to trace back those California license plates shown below to find who the owner was those were issued to? If so, please send me an email or a PM. Thanks!
