    Unused vacuum fitting

On the vacuum fitting that fits into the brake-booster in my '66 Town Landau is a small blocked-off 3/16(?) fitting, any idea what the fitting is for? ::?

It's saimesed off the fitting the large vacuum hose is attached to on the booster and somebody has blocked this smaller fitting with a short section of vacuum hose and a small bolt inserted into it.

    It has me stumped.

The smaller port was used to send vacuum to the transmission modulator. '66 Thunderbirds have a separate hose that goes into the front of the carburetor plate. It appears that the check valve is from an earlier model which is why it's blocked off.
