    6 Squarebirds together in Perth

On saturday night a local hot rod club had a cruise-in and dance with nearly 300 cars turning up including hot rods, classics and some old bikes. Some 6 squarebirds rolled up which is surely a record for Perth, 5 coupes and a rag top. Lex had his magnificent black 59 there, and his friend Reno brought his black 59 as well. Reno's is highly modified power train wise with a 429 bolted up to a C6 and a modified 9 inch diff. The 429 is far from stock and Reno has had the beast measured at 607 hp at the back wheels. That is a squarebird that will shift.... Rather than me take photo's of questionable quality, look here the website - http://tbirds.com.au (no www.) under Hot Summer Nights 2.

There was plenty of food, drinking and dancing to a local rockabilly band. A sensational night indeed!

Hi Bill, Thanks for the link. I made it clickable so anyone can just click on the link and bring up the website. You can do that by using the little blue/green earth circle with what looks like a pair of binoculars, under the white smiley face. If you know of anyone who has some large sized pix of the squarebirds or other tbirds all together in a group I would certainly like to have them. I am always looking for good cover pix for the next calendar.
