New user, Kerry, just sent me pix of his pretty 1966 Landau Flairbird. She certainly is nice looking and he says she runs like a top! Look at his pickup truck (Ford?) and the other car behind his Flairbird. I am trying to figure out what make and year they are. Here are the pix.

The truck is a 1954 Ford F100 and the car is a 1969 Mercury Cougar XR7.
Cougar is in my shop now, hopefully will be done this year sometime..(if all goes well )
Next will be the F100.
I would like everyone's thoughts on the tbird, I am undecided on keeping the car original or making it mine..
this is a great site.
is there any others on this site from Canada?

coorsfrog's '66 Flairbird!
Hi Kerry, thanks for telling us what year and make the truck and car are. Good luck with their restorations. As for keeping your Tbird original or making it yours, it is up to you. Some people like to keep them original, and others like to modify them to their own tastes, or at least add some more modern technology to them. Such as adding a dual MC/two stage power booster to a Squarebird, and disc brakes. Some have replaced their vacuum wipers with an electric one. Some have added solid state ignition. Some have modified their radios for modern AM/FM/Cassette/iPod use. Those are some of the things that I (other than the radio) and others have done to our Squarebirds. So what you do to your Flairbird is up to you since you spent the money on saving the car from the crusher sometime down the road. Keep in mind that should you want to sell it down the road, that keeping it OEM might bring you more money than a wildly modified Tbird...
As for there being others in Canada, yes, we have many Canadian members, some in Ontario. Dan Leavens, one of our Administrators is in Canada. So you are not alone up there with your pretty Tbird!
