    Anyone Know What This Is???

I was looking at pix of a '66 Flairbird and saw this pic of the trunk area. I gather what I see on the front top of the gas tank is the cover to the fuel sending unit, similar to ours in our Squarebirds. Behind that to the right is some kind of electric or electronic gadget it looks like to me, with a cable or something coming out of it and going to something behind what I think is the fuel sending unit cover. Can anyone tell me what that equipment is to the rear right on top the tank? This is a Town Hardtop with the blind quarter panels. Here is that pic.

Eric, you might be right! I was thinking that would be in one of the trunk side panels, or maybe the taillight panel, but I could very well be wrong about that. One of the Flairbird owners must know the answer to this question, I would think. Especially if they have ever had to work on their sequential flasher unit.

Yep, that magic box with the two relays is just that!

Mine is an electronic one made in Canada by a firm I can find nothing about.

Thanks, Tom, for verifying that. This company in Canada... Are you trying to get in contact with them? If so, please give me the name of them and I will see what we can do from here, or what some of our Canadian members can do.

That is where it is on our 65s, but they are wrapped up in some insulation and tape to quiet them down some I guess.

Thanks for the offer Ray,I will try to find the info I have on that firm, I'm pretty sure I've written it down some where (but where??).

I'm not in a hurry to pull out the spare tyre, fold back the boot-carpet and undo the bolts that hold the 'gizmo' in place to get the make/number etc!!!

I remember googling the address for the firm (it was written on the device) but found nothing, I also tried googling the name of the company without success.

I MAY have mentioned this on the site a couple of years ago...

Anyway the address was somewhere in Vancouver.

If I can add a bit to this, you've already found the electronics is the sequential turn system, or at least 3 parts of it. The square cover with the cable going through it is just a pass through for the fuel tank wiring, the sender is actually facing forward and is accessed from under the car.
