Got the T-bird torn down, found the head of a exhaust valve laying against the piston. put about a 1/8" gouge in the piston, dressed it down with a file. Dug out the original stock valves from my 430 and ground them and installed the heads this afternoon. Hope to have it together and running tomorrow. The sodium had corroded the inside of the stems so much that there was little left of the metal. so thin it just pulled it apart. Plan on installing a rebuilt 3310 Holley too.
