ok t bird people. this is a great place for bird answers. I just bought a basket case 64 t bird. bought all the books. most parts are with car just needs to be put back together. now first question, where dose the vacuum check valve hookup. I was told it has to do with steering column. thanks for all answers, larry

Larry,
There are only two vacuum check valves that I know of on a '64. The one on the brake booster for the power brakes and the one between the vacuum canister and the intake manifold under the hood as per the diagram. I believe it's on the passenger side. There are many vacuum hoses behind the dash and going to the neutral switch and emergency brake pedal but I'm not aware of any other check valves.

For non-a/c cars you probably have the round vacuum canister on the firewall. The check valve should be on the hose between the canister and the intake manifold.
