Those engines are good for 250k miles, then they start to pop spark plugs off the heads, casting threads and all!

Now have the complete drivtrain in the garage, just going to save it for a hotrod or ratrod project, about to pull the 390 and replace all the gaskets a few questions in another post about the removal

if you are still looking to do this. That is a very wide motor. I would check that. Also look a Ford Motor sport, ( now Ford Racing again) they probably make a stand alone kit for it. PCM and minimal wiring harness to make it run. They have been increasing the out put of these lately. The new 5.0 already has it all already.....

For now its covered on a stand thanks for the info, as long as the FE holds on I will too, but it would be cool to have it installed

Has anyone seen a Barra Engine built by Ford Australia. There is a 6 cylinder Turbo (not sure on these figures as they seem to change wherever you read) 325Kw 576Nm and the 5.4LTR V8 345Kw at 570Nm. The V8 would be way to wide I think but the 6 might fit in. Just.
