Lou Paliani Has A New Kidney!

For those of you who know Lou Paliani, past VTCI President, Lou has been going through kidney dialysis for several years now. Marilyn just told me this in an email!

"Ray, Lou got a new kidney last night! He is in the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix. Will be there (in PHX) for 4-6 weeks. Marilyn"

This is great news! We wish him well.

I knew of Lou when I was with the VTCI. I had my '61 Bullet Bird at the time. I also wish him well.

Lou Paliani Has A New Kidney!

I just received an update email from Lou Paliani, retired VTCI President. Here is the good news he had to share with me!

"Ray I am doing well, the kidney started working right away, it is a worker. I Have been blessed all through this process, prayers work. I am out of the hospital at a friends house. I must go back for check ups 3 times a week, I am done 23 Oct and will be home 25 Oct. Marilyn is flying out, we will rent a car. And drive back. I have been blessed. Thank all for the prayers. Lou"

Ray that is great news and I am sure Lou and Marilyn are very thankful leading up to the US Thanksgiving.

Lou Paliani Has A New Kidney!

For those of you, like me, who know Lou Paliani as the ex-VTCI President, here is an update on him. Normally, we see Lou and Marilyn, longtime members of our So. Texas Tbird Club Christmas Party, each year. But this year we will not. For whatever reason, as a result of his kidney transplant operation (which went very, very well, and it is a "worker" as he calls it), he has lost sight in one eye. On Wednesday, he went through an eye operation to relieve pressure on that eye. The loss of eyesight seems to be something that is not correctable. He has not lost his sense of humor, however! He joked about wearing a black patch over that eye so he could look like a Pirate! So this year, they will not be at the party, as he is on home rest recovering from the eye surgery. He and Marilyn do want to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
