LED Lights

I have seen advertised and in parts stores LED bulbs that plug into existing sockets. Would these work on my 65 Bird brake lights or would I need something else to make them work. I would really like to have brighter brake lights.

Probably. I say that because your existing turn signal circuit relies on a flasher made for a certain amperage. So you either have to have a LED conversion type flasher or install load resistors for each bulb.
