Carpet install

I want to install new carpeting, any advise on which is the better carpet, do I need to remove the center console? I know I have to remove all the seats, anything else I need to know? I also want to install sound deadening, any advice on that? Thanks!

The carpet I got from rockauto-> acc was to short on the panssenger side going up the tunnel they sent me a new set I havnt installed it yet as I just got the car back from the shop.

You need to remove the seats front ans rear, seatbelts, aluminum trim along the tunnel and plastic covers in the kickpannels oh and the aluminum door sills

No need to remove the center console. Try N.O.S. Automotive Fabrics ( Original Auto Interiors, Inc), out of Michigan. As far as sound deadening your choice. I went with the Batt 1/4" sound proofing insulation (Grey).

The stuff from acc comes with jute ( thick grey stuff on the back ) or you can get mass backing, looked like a thicker rubberish backing on the carpet & the jute. I just ordered basic to save some money

The ACC carpet is about the best in my opinion. You can get it from Rockauto and pay considerably less than if you order it direct from ACC.
