    Trunk lock cover

My body guy ran out of paint before he got to my box of small parts- hinge covers, and this medallion that goes on the trunk lock. So I OK'd the use of a rattle can coded to match. It doesn't.

Looking closer at this thing there is a clearance around the perimeter, approximate thickness of seat vinyl. I think I'll cover it with black vinyl fabric to match the leather seats and vinyl covered dash.

I found some UV resistant upholstery fabric and it's a little too thick, but still looks OK. The hardest part was folding the material over and trimming it on the backside you you don't end up with multiple layers or bare spots on the edges.

(The second hardest was purchasing the material at Joannes Fabric- what a bunch of loonies who work there!)

A thinner fabric, such as without the mesh backing, would be better and easier.
