    Air Con

Hi Guys, as some of you may know I purchased a '79 Cadillac Eldorado last year. It's ready to go on the road, hopefully by the end of next week, as I am waiting for the Historic Registration papers to come through. The cut-off year here in South Australia to be accepted as a Historic Vehicle is the 1st of January 1979. Luckily, mine came off the line in late '78.

I would like a favour from one of you fellow T. Birders. I am in need of a Air Con Compressor & a Receiver Dryer from O'reilly, but unfortunately they do not export to Australia. If someone is kind enough to purchase & ship it out to me it would be gratefully appreciated. I will send the money in advance prior to sending the goods to me. I will send all the details should someone volunteer to help me with this matter.

    Thank You

    Chris.....From OZ.

Chris, Give it a week to see if someone else will step up and help you with your A/C delivery difficulty. If no one does, send me a PM. Roger

Thank you Roger. Ray, (YELLOW ROSE) sent me an email about a fellow Western Australian who has contacts in the U.S. shipping to him. However I realised that I also have a close friend who imports cars but locally here in South Australia.

I'll get in touch with him & see what happens. Thank you once again & I'll keep in touch.

      Chris.

Chris you can use a company called Price USA. They will buy it for you and ship to your door. I should add they will charge you a percentage for their trouble.

          Price USA

Phil mentioned Price USA as a company that can get items shipped to you and save you money. As a result of his post, I did some checking on Price USA. It looks like they have been in business for about 7 years or so. They are a company located in NSW, Australia, who specialize in obtaining items from USA companies, and have them shipped through Price USA to you. I have looked at a number of reviews and found most of them to be positive, with just a couple of negative reviews that I looked at. Those negative reviews were rebutted by Price USA. I will post their website here and the review of their business also. Those of you Down Under can get an overview of what they are about and how they have been received in Australia. This may or may not be something that you might want to use. Notice that you are dealing with a secure website. That is a plus. This post is in no way an endorsement of their business. It is provided as a possible better source of obtaining US products from your country.

I've used Price USA on about a dozen occasions for different things. Steering wheels through to equipment for my business, off eBay and from department stores and I have never had a problem with them. Like any business that is run from afar they probably have there days when things might go off track but as said I have never had a problem with them. And their freight charges are pretty good compared to say UPS, DHL etc. As Ray said I'm only putting up an alternative suggestion and my experience with them. Good luck

Thanks for the advise Gentleman. I ended up getting a new one from E bay, an AC DELCO, from a company named....ALL DAY PARTS.
I thought the price was good as well $187.34 U.S.

              Thanks for the input.
