I'm already guessing what the solution is going to be for this issue, but before I pay $120 for a NOS nylon cam and wiring (and crawling under the dash to get to the 8 or so connectors) I'm wondering if someone has figured out a simpler way to fix this problem.

Here's the symptom. Signalling to turn left, followed by a left turn then return to straight, doesn't fully return the turn signal stalk. It shuts off the front turn signal and indicator only, and leaves the rear turn signal (and under dash flasher module) functioning.

The cancelling cam sold by Macs here doesn't fit.
