    jay Leno's 1959 Imperial Convertible

Happened to watch this last night...He has a one-off Wilwood disc brake set up for his 5600 lb car(Date wrong in title. It is a 1958 car)

With it's "Forward Look" design and massive 392 Hemi, Jay takes us on a ride in his Imperial Convertible that was the biggest and widest luxury car you could...

WOW, 12" front rotors w/five on 5.5" bolt pattern. No wonder Leno went with 15" rims. Ain't no way a 14" wheel will possibly fit over a 12" rotor.

(We have a hard time finding 14" wheels to fit our 11" rotors on a Squarebird.)

The only thing I don't like about the car's engineering is the rear axles w/tapered roller bearings. Both sides must be centered AND the original rear drums come out of alignment by themselves. Not good.
