    Snorkel

Most of the 430cid pics I see in our T-Birds don't have the aircleaner "snorkel" on left side of them (off the exhaust manifold). Is this like a RARE part often discarded by owners or what? I'm the 2nd owner of my 1960 Bird, and mine is still installed...

Only 430 Thunderbirds and possibly cars sent to Canada had the snorkel extension. All Thunderbirds, even without the snorkel had the wing-nut on the air cleaner, ready for the extension.

So by saying "all Thunderbirds, even w/o the snorkle, had the wing-nut on the air cleaner, ready for the extension.", are you saying my dad's 1958 352cid T-Bird should have a wing-nut on it's air cleaner left (air intake) edge? As well as, a 1959 & 1960 352cid T-Bird?
